CHARLES II OAK COFFER.

With Candle Box and Working Lock. This little beauty has Highly Carved Panels all round of Leafs and Scrolls with a Ovalo edge.

It has a working lock which is not original but is very old the marks of the original lock can be seen in the pictures. The hinges are not original there was Wire snap Hinges originally which can be seen the marks in pic 5.

The top has had Support straps fitted underneath of the lid. All supported on stile legs and carved panel rails. Structurally it is in excellent condition.

We have dated this from the marks of the lock and where the wire hinges would have been originally.
