A stunning example of a Georgian Secretaire Chest with cupboard under, very old and very beautiful. It has a Flame Mahogany top with thumbnail edge. The fronts of the secretaire drawers and doors to the lower cabinet have been inlaid with a moulded reeded design. |

The Secretaire drawer is removable with secret springs and has nine pigeon holes and nine drawers. The writing surface has a highly polished surface with room in the lower pigeon hole to store a laptop (I have tried one in there so it does fit). Both locks are replacement but were replaced a long time ago, they are very old and still work with replacement keys, stays and guides are original together with the original round brass handles. |

Below is a storage cupboard with six adjustable shaped drawers, the doors are Flame Mahogany and mirrored and are lockable. All supported on French style swept bracket feet. The sides of the cabinet are solid mahogany. Overall a really stunning piece of workmanship and obviously previously loved and cared for. |
